Akasa Opens its Doors to Pets
Akasa Air has opened its doors to pets, too! The all new low-cost local Indian airline gave pet parents a reason to rejoice when they announced that flights to carry your furry one will begin from November 1, 2022. And it did. If you’re looking to fly with your pet, upto 7 kgs, you can do your booking either by calling the customer care centre on 0 96061 12131 or visiting the Akasa Air Airport Ticketing Office, according to the information available on its website: www.akasaair.com.
Following on the heels of Air India, Akasa is the second airline to allow you to fly with your furry ones, but to be clear, only cats and dogs. And at a fee, be rest assured. The fees are not announced yet and other regulations are listed on the site for you to take note of. Pets above 7 kgs have to travel in the cargo hold! You have to carry valid health, rabies vaccination, license and other certificates as stipulated. Once the initial bumps are ironed out, it will be smooth flying for pets and their parents, hopefully other little domesticated ones, too. The airline has announced it will enhance the ‘fly with your pets’ experience as they move ahead. One move which is in place and is a great one is the tie-up with Umeed for Animals Foundation to ensure a smooth and safe journey for the passengers, human and furry alike. We can’t wait to take our little ones on board and have them look out the window and scan the menu to see what’s on offer for them. Another clarification we need to iron out, pet parents. Akasa Air?
