The Best 'Best Dog'

Frequent visits to the Probably Paradise Shelter in Karjat led to a union written in the stars. Poona-based Gayatri Sarang would never have thought that the rescue dog who would jump into her car every time without fail would be her best dog at her wedding in August this year. And the way that tux fit the 13-year-old furry boy, even better than the human best man!

"I have always had rescues at home," smiles Gayatri, "and as any biased pet parent, I maintain Sherlock is the best dog ever." Being close friends with Roxanne (the founder of PPS), she has her to thank for Sherlock coming into her life. Today, along with her husband Pascal Marzella, they are one happy family. "It was amazing having Sherlock at the wedding, he was better behaved than most kids present. That's him: loving, caring, playful and actually reversing in age as he gets older." We just love sunshine stories like these and hope more people realise the joy that dogs can bring into your life, no matter their age.
