Pet Matchmaking Another Success

No, this is not a matrimonial site for pets, or as we at dogs & more offer, Doggiemonials. This is about matching the right pet with the right family, and if you’re a fan of animal shows like Caesar Milan, for one, you will certainly know of Celebrity Pet Matchmaking. The US-based show is in its second season – hosted by actress and singer, Christy Carlson Romano – and just recently helped match a rescue puppy with a new family, in its second episode.

After mourning the loss of their pet, Arrow, the Hyde family in Santa Fe, CA, expressed their desire to home another pup, and add to their furry family of two: Yoshi & Fraya. This time around, they’re looking for a larger breed, a male, one with high energy. Of course, loyalty ranks high on the ‘bringing home a dog’ scale. The episode – on People magazine’s digital platforms – aired August 8 and showed how the Hydes picked their pup from the three that host, Christy, showed them. Waylon the Hound-Cattle Dog mix turned out the lucky one! We think such initiatives as the Pedigree Foundation’s are much needed in our country as well and definitely more animal-centric shows like these. The foundation's grant programme helps make pet adoptions like these possible by supporting rescue centres and shelters like Helen Woodward Animal Center and others.
